Express Entry #141-#142
Canada invited 606 immigration candidates through the first regular draw on April 9, 2020. The draw was a program specified one and it required candidates to have provincial nomination with a CRS score of 698.
606 candidates receive their permanent residence applications in a draw held on April 9 with a CRS score 22 points lower than the previous Provincial Nominee Draw which took place on March 18.
Through the regular draw Canada continues to clarify uncertainty about the likelihood of postponing immigration programs that otherwise would be postponed due to the measure taken amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The lowest CRS score needed to receive an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence were 464 points.
Although the likelihood pattern of regular draws were twice per month, the second Express Entry invitation round brought the CRS score to the minimum since October 2019.
The last round was the fourth consecutive program targeting particularly candidates in the Canadian Experience Class. The program is specifically for applicants who have a minimum of 12 months of work experience in Canada.
In total, Canada invited 3,900 immigration candidates for Canadian permanent residence in one day.
Express Entry system remains to be the main source of Canada which grants permanent residence for skilled foreign individuals and as well as their family members.
According to the requirements of the program, eligible candidates are ranked against each other based on factors such as their educational history, age, language skills and as well as skilled work experience.
If an applicant has a CRS score which is equal or higher then the required threshold, then he receives an invitation for permanent residency through regular draws.
