Express Entry profile creation starts from finding out your eligibility whether you are qualified to immigrate as a skilled immigrant through the Express Entry system.
If you are qualified to create an express entry profile, you need to start your submission process using Canada’s official website.
After the creation of a profile you will be ranked against other candidates based on certain factors you entered into the CRS system. Finally, you will receive an invitation from the Canadian Government to apply for permanent residence if you have enough CRS scores.

What to do after creating a profile?
After you complete all the steps and finished creating your account, your profile will be submitted. After successful submission, candidates will get an Express Entry profile number and a number called “job seeker validation code”
You will need to use these numbers in the future if you need to register for employment in the Job Bank or if you have received a provincial nomination from one of the Canadian provinces.
Applicants whose profiles match and meet the requirements of the Express Entry system, will be placed into the pool of candidates registered in the system.
Please note that creating an Express Entry profile successfully does not mean that you will receive an ITA for Canadian permanent residence. It only means that you are already in the pool and be ranked against other candidates based on the CRS score you have.
Furthermore, only the highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence. The invitation rounds generally take place two times per month. Although Canada never reveals the next draw date, we can still predict the following rounds based on the patters of previous draws.
How often do you need to update your Express Entry profile?
Please note that, as a candidate, you must keep our profile update if the following changes occur:
- You have a new work experience
- Your language test results updated
- You have graduated and got a new diploma
- You have certain changes in your family such as, birth, marriage and etc.
How long is my Express Entry profile valid?
Generally, the Express Entry profile is valid for 12 months.
However, profile expires after one year if you do not meet the requirements of the program or you receive an invitation to apply.
Also, the system will remove your profile from the pool after one year you receive no invitation to apply for permanent residence.
